Tuan Pham honored as ‘Champion for Drug-Free Kids’
Dr. Tuan Pham, CEO and founder of Phamatech of San Diego, was last week honored by the Community Anti-Drug Coalition of America (CADCA) at a special gala dinner in Washington, D.C.
As a champion for Drug-Free Kids, Pham was recognized as a “public figure who dedicates time, energy and resources to help kids stay drug free.” The other award at the star-studded event held at Washington’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel went to DirectTV, honored for its educational work through its “DirectTV Goes to School” program.

Pham received the organization’s “Champion for Drug-Free Kids Award” as a nationally recognized leader in the fight against drugs.

Phamatech, founded in 1991, is on of the nation’s leading providers of rapid medical diagnostic devises and laboratory services for home health care and clinical settings throughout the world. Pham is also chairman of the board of Asia Media Los Angeles Inc., publisher of ASIA, The Journal of Culture & Commerce’s Los Angeles edition.

His company, Phamatech, has been partnering with CADCA for the last three years in trying to help eliminate drug abuse by providing at-home devices to detect the use of marijuana, cocaine, morphine, heroin, ecstasy, amphetamines and opiates.

In announcing the award, CADCA said, “In particular, the company’s drugs of abuse test devices and services are being utilized in various hospitals, urgent care centers, physicians’ offices and federal and state correctional facilities domestic and abroad. Phamatech believes that corporate growth is stimulated by giving back to the community and has been involved with CADCA and other community based and international organizations that provide must needed assistance to various health segments of the world community.”

CADCA was founded in 1992 though the President’s Drug Advisory Council with the main mission of building drug-free communities through programs such as its Drug-Free Kids Campaign. Past honorees include Gen. Barry McCaffrey, Gene Upshaw, Office Depot and former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue.

Phamatech Receives HHS / SAMHSA Clearance For Forensic Toxicology Services
Diego,CA - Phamatech, one of the leading providers of rapid 1-step diagnostic devices for the detection of fertility, drugs of abuse, and infectious diseases, today disclosed a major development in its core businesses with the announcement that it has received certification by the US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for its newest division: Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Services.

Phamatech earns prison deal
Phamatech, the San Diego-based manufacturer of rapid medical diagnostic devices, was recently awarded a major multi-million-dollar contract to provide drug tests for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Until now, such tests were provided on an average of once a year. Under the new program, tests can be administered monthly and, thus, expected to go a long way to bring drug problems in the system under control. more
